the Sukhothai period. The image, of solid gold,
is three meters high and weighs five and a half
tons.
Wat Pho : this world famous temple,
it is one of Bangkok’ s oldest and largest temple.
The Marble Temple is well-known
because its main building was constructed during
the reign of king Rama V. Ubosot (chapel): Considered
“the perfect architecture of Thai arts”, it was
built from Italian marble. It is a four-sided
structure with a four-tiered roof and a corridor
in the back
